Providing Free Kids Fitness Classes In Warrington


REDS Fitness (RESILIANCE, EDUCATION, DETERMINATION, SUCCESS) is a FREE fitness initiative aimed primarily at young people to help them understand all areas of fitness, nutrition and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

Paid for courses are available elsewhere but REDS Fitness courses are aimed at young people based in South Warrington who otherwise would be excluded from this kind of activity and would miss out on everything it offers. REDS Fitness offer  six-week courses with each course having between 15 and 20 children. They’re run on a Saturday morning from 10-11am at Anytime fitness. The official Launch date was Saturday 12th October 2019 with classes officially commencing from 2nd November 2019


The young people carry out various fitness exercises as well as being given advice on nutrition and the benefits, both physical and mental, of leading a healthy lifestyle. These are strengths they can carry forward with them into later life.

As the young people work in a group it also encourage social interaction and teamwork development. They form relationships with other young people that they wouldn’t otherwise have met encouraging healthy social networking outside the gym.



As a community interest company we are entirely self funded and we raise money by selling used furniture, electrical goods, toys, clothes etc donated by the local community and collected by a local company, Zebra Removals who have a huge amount of experience in this field. This is a free to the community service advertised on our website and Zebra Removals’ website. To begin with we intend to sell these goods online with the help of Zebra Removals and all profits will go into REDS Fitness.


This is a totally new concept as the courses are totally FREE and having spoken to members of the local community including Diabetes Nurses and Doctors the overwhelming consensus of opinion is that the benefits of giving young people more knowledge not only helps with physical fitness,  mental health wellbeing and resilience it will also help combat the rise of illnesses arising from obesity such as Type 2 Diabetes.

As a parent myself I understand the pressures that young people have through social media, exam stress and peer pressure and as a professional personal trainer I understand how physical exercise can help to alleviate this pressure when it’s carried out in a safe and supervised environment.


Long Term, these courses will be running throughout the year, and we’ll be looking to implement some school holiday activities also.

To summarise, these fitness courses will help young people towards a fitter and healthier lifestyle leading to improved physical and mental resilience. ALL FOR FREE.



It’s a project that the whole local community can be involved in as we will be covering a broad spectrum of areas from physical fitness through exercise in the gym, to nutritional education to recycling donated items from the local community helping to provide free fitness classes in Warrington.
